Its May 2nd and the sun is shining! I can't believe what a little sunshine does for the soul! Looks like Aubrey is enjoying the beginning of spring as well! My little smiley girl! :)
For the last few days I have been in a funk, and a big one! I actually was starting to think I had post partum depression or something because I was feeling so down, but with a little spray tan, some hair color, and some sunshine I am feeling SOOOOOOO much better! I must say thank you to my amazing husband has been there trying to make me feel better everyday and sticking through my "Eeyore" attitude! He is so great to me.
So the other night I was in the living room feeding Aubrey and Chad was in Tyler's room with him getting him ready for bed and all the sudden I hear Chad reading Tyler some bedtime stories, he read him 3 books and it just made me so happy, and just reinforced how much I love my husband, he is so amazingly great with our children and I am so lucky to have him! I wish I could tell him every day how much I appreciate him even when we are getting on each others nerves! Since its May, our 2nd wedding anniversary is coming up and we decided not to get each other anything, but the traditional anniversary gift is cotton, so I am trying to think of something cool that I can do for him still because I just love him so much and I want him to know it! We have talked about going to Galena and spending the night and starting our tradition of getting a small cake from the place we got our wedding cake :) I love starting traditions :) and I am so excited to continue them with my Hubby! And the thought of eating our delicious "wedding" cake in Galena is making me so excited!
this is a classic picture of us, one from when we were just a new couple, I love it because it brings back so many great memories of the butterflies I used to get when I saw him! I will always have a copy of this framed in our home. Even when we are 80 years old!
Anyways, Tyler is doing good, we took a break from potty training, but I think we will start up again soon, I am really trying to let him do it on his own time because I don't want to make him feel pressured at all! He asked to put on big boy undies today so I let him wear them for a while and no accidents so thats a start!
Aubrey is now sleeping from 9ish pm to 5ish am...then she gets a bottle and goes back down until usually 8am...Today she just skipped the 5 o'clock bottle and woke up at 8 so that would be GREAT if she just started doing that from now on but I won't get my hopes up :) I don't really mind getting up with her because its our time to bond :) She is starting to have more head control and just smiles away she coos, but she looks like she wants to laugh soon! I can't wait for that! Boy we have came a long ways from the tummy issue days! I am so happy she is feeling better (she still has a little bit of tummy aches from time to time but its so much better) I am still trying to get her to sleep flat in the crib or pack and play, but she still only likes to sleep in the nap nanny so my goal this week is to see if she will sleep in her pack and play at all...we will see!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
