Tyler and Aubrey

So I thought that Tyler and Aubrey looked a lot alike, but then I was looking at old pictures of Tyler and there are some that are just scary how much they look like each other! It is kind of fun to compare babies, I defiantly think Aubrey's cheeks are chunkier and Tyler's eyes are a lighter blue, but for the most part they really do look like the same baby!  Some of my pictures I have to do a double take to see what baby it is...It makes me excited to see what Aubrey is going to look like in a couple months to see if she continues to look like her big brother. :)

he loves her so much, and loves to help but about two minutes after this picture was taking he bopped her on the head and had to go into time out.  he was better after that tho

So Chad went back to work on Tuesday and so far it has defiantly been a challenge without the extra help...the first night he went back I felt guilty because I had to rush through Tyler's night time routine because Aubrey was in her crib screaming, but last night it went a lot better, I was able to give him a bath read him a couple stories, do our night time dance and tuck him in without her waking up upset.  I think It is just going to be hard for the first 3-6 months while she is so little and fussy.  They both need so much attention that I feel myself trying so hard to give them both all of it they deserve...it defiantly makes the day/night go by faster!
Tyler likes to put his hat on me, notice little baby Aubrey's head in the picture as well lol.
bed time stories, it will be nice when Aubrey is old enough to sit with us and we can all read together!
lunch time

So far I am getting the hang of everything but it has been pretty hard...I was so spoiled with Tyler sleeping 12 hours a night, that having a newborn was such a wake up call!  I am afraid she has the dreaded Colic...I don't think it is a bad case of it but according to all the parental magazines, books, websites if your baby cries three hours at a time, at least three times a week, for at least three weeks in a row then your baby has it, and unfortunately she fits the bill.  I did however get a book on how to help "turn off" the crying switch with colic and the tricks in the book have seem to be working, it just is very exhausting living off of 2-3 hours of sleep at night considering I can't nap during the day because I still have to care for Tyler, some nights are better than others, so I hope it gets better, thats what I am praying for anyways but until then I can't wait for the weekend so Chad can take a few turns with her at night.  Now that he is back to work its going to be even harder since he has to work a lot of 12 hour days.  She is a great baby during the day tho, so I am not sure how severe her Colic is.  Who knows but they say that it only lasts until about 3 months so I have about 8 more weeks of it.  Thank God Tyler sleeps through her crying!!! I always tell her she is lucky she is so cute because I defiantly am handling the no sleep thing better than I ever thought!  Hopefully I am wrong and it is NOT colic, and gets better, everyone please cross your fingers for me :)

Anyways that is what has been going on, I love my 2 babies more than ever.  Like I said in my last blog, I can't wait for spring! I have been doing research on double strollers because I think I am defiantly going to need one! If anyone has one they would like to sell, or has any suggestions/recommendations on one please shoot them my way! Have a great day!!!!!
