Terrific Twos

So everyone always talks about how terrible age 2 is, and yes my son is NOT a PERFECT angel, BUT he is pretty dang close I think. He is learing so much so fast and just so much fun to be around. He makes me laugh daily at the funny things he says/does.  He is also getting very helpful.  I can ask him to go fetch me things, The other day he even went upstairs to get me my hairbrush when I asked him to. What a good boy.

 Potty Training Challenge
I usually don't like when people feel the need to announce every detail of potty training on Facebook, but I thought I would talk about it on my blog so only the people who are interested can read :) Man he looks like such a big boy in his undies!  Today we started the potty training challenge. I have been waiting for him to show all the signs that he is ready to be potty trained and he just now has showed me them...My ultimate goal is to have him trained by the time he is 3. I have heard it is harder to train boys so wish me luck! We already had an accident but here is my strategy that I am going to take in no particular order:

1. Try pull-ups.  I feel like diving straight into undies like I did today is going to give my husband a panic attack every time he has an accident.  So I am going to try to get him used to the idea of pulling his pants up and down and sitting on the potty...Once he is used to it, then I am going to put him back in his big boy undies

2.  If he doesn't get it one day, then tell him its OK and put a diaper on him and start over the next morning.  I do not want him to feel pressured AT ALL.
3.  M&Ms will be my best friend for when he does it in the potty

4.  Reward him with a fish-tank in his room since we will be able to take the changing pad off his dresser.

5.  Put him on the Potty every 5-15 minutes...

6.  Try to really stick through it the most on the weekends when Chad is here to help me with Aubrey.

7.  Make sure my husband is on the same page with me...
8.  Teach him to sit first, then when he has that down then target practice with fruity cheerios.

9.  Be his cheerleader

10.  last but not least, if he doesn't get it by age 3 I am not going to be upset about it, its hard when his baby sister has me changing her diaper all the time and he sees it, but I really think he is going to succeed in this! I HAVE to stay positive!

He is such a cool dude!

Now for Aubrey news:
So sleeeeeeepy!

So on Thursday my baby girl will already be 2 months old!!! I can't believe how fast that 2 months flew by! I think part of it was trying to figure out her belly issues. Witch by the way she has been doing soo soo much better with that.  We went to the Dr yesterday and she weighed 11 lbs 13 oz already! So she actually is gaining weight pretty good.. that is something they usually look for in Reflux babies. She is still spitting up a lot tho so the Dr recommended putting a little rice cereal in her formula to help her keep more down.

She is starting to smile a lot and coo, it is so stinkin cute!!! She looks more and more like a person and less like a blob baby.   I am so excited that it is getting nicer out because I can't wait to put her in all her cute little dresses and diaper covers :) I also want to get her a pair of Ruffle Butts since they have a lot more prints and colors now! It is so great having a little girl so I can girlie her up! Ok well time to run! I feel like I am so busy busy busy lately and I don't even ever leave the house! (well I do, but not like I used to) Have a good weekend!
