thanksgiving=christmas kickoff

so here is the start to our "ginger bread house"
i want to add some candy canes in the front and a wreath on the door, then i think i can be happy for a while hehe.

our "north pole" you can't really tell but the light bulb is red

i have been chomping at the bit for this day to come...thanksgiving!!! because i officially put up our tree and will not get judged for it :) although our lights have been lit outside for couple weeks now, but i felt the need to wait it out for the tree. (and the only reason we hung our lights so early was because there was a couple really nice days so i told chad to do it so he didn't have to freeze his butt off)

yay for our new tree! we got colorful lights because i feel like kids like colors better :) i always remember begging for color lights when i was little lol, but when my kids become adults, i will convert back to clear (they are super classy looking)

here it is lit up...have i mentioned how much i love this time of year?

ok people there are 4 weeks until christmas...how is shopping going? i actually need to get my preggo butt in bed because i am going to wake up at 6 and meet my mom and sisters at the mall. (i am skipping waiting in line at target at 2 am this year because its a little too rowdy for me since i'm so huge, but next year i will be in that line!) there are still so many deals at the mall that i want to check out, i am so excited! i have 3 more presents to buy and we are done! what a relief!

ok so i should probably talk a little about what i am thankful for since it is thanksgiving, 1st of all it would be my handsome husband, without him i would be lost!  2nd, it would be my crazy little boy, i never knew how much love i could hold in my heart until i held him in my arms, 3rd my baby belly, yes i complain all day about how its so uncomfortable and how i hate being pregnant, but i really do love the fact that i am bringing another life into the world, it really is a great feeling! and 4th my family and friends...i don't know what i would do without all these great people in my life and i am defiantly counting my blessings this year. thank you everyone for being a part in my life i love you all!

(sparkling grape juice)

cheers everyone to a happy and healthy holiday season!!!!!!!

and p.s. only 11 more weeks until aubrey time...wow this time has gone fast

Its been a while...

I have been neglecting my blog lately! My last blog was about all the stress I was under about new baby coming, and now I really have calmed down on that, we are just trying to get over Christmas and Tyler's birthday before we really do too much, We did figure out that the TV I wanted to get Chad for Christmas we are going to do a joint present (even tho I really would rather have diamonds) I think the big room switch will be a little after Christmas, and I want to have Tyler and Aubrey's room painted right away so there is no confusion with Tyler. So we can say "this is the baby's room see all the pink?" Hopefully the change goes smoothly everyone please wish me luck!

Friday I had to get a shot called Rhogam, because I have negative blood, It is a 2 part process, first you go and they take some blood, then you have to wait a couple hours to go back and actually get the shot. Well the blood part was a piece of cake. I have become so confident when getting shots/blood taken all the good stuff because of how much I have had it with these 2 pregnancies and the 1 labor already so I thought I was in the clear when I went back for the 2nd part, the shot...NO, I guess I am still somewhat of a weenie, because when she said "what hip do you want it in" I thought...oh great this is gonna hurt. Let me tell you, IT DID....It was such a thick needle (I made the mistake of looking at it when she was getting it ready) and the actual stuff she was injecting me burned and I could feel it going in. Not my idea of a good time. So all the sudden I started getting all dizzy and sweaty like I was going to faint, and I said to the nurse that I was fine I just needed to sit down. She took one look at me and saw that I was as white as a ghost and started freaking out. she immediately called for a wheelchair and some help, another nurse came in with some orange juice, and they wheeled me into another room that had a place to lay down, by then I was feeling better but they would not let me go, they wanted me to lay there for 20 minutes. I agreed because the last thing I wanted was to be difficult for them (it was the end of their shift) They called Dr. Mimm, and he gave the OK that if I am feeling better then I could go home. Finally! The nurses were really concerned and they were great, I just know myself and it takes a little time for that feeling to go away and then I am just fine. At least I know I am in good hands when I go to Genisis East, for ANYTHING. Even a stinkin little shot! (by the way I still have a bruise from)

All in all I would still say that my needle phobia is pretty much cured...I can do arms, whatever it is, but when it comes to other parts of the body I get a little nervous! yeek! I keep telling myself "good thing that is the last time you ever have to do that!" :) can't wait for little Aubrey to come! Have a great week everyone!!!

P.s. I have totally turned Tyler into a huge Christmas fan!!! He loves the lights, trees, Santa, reindeer, and if he gets fussy at a store all I have to do is go to the Christmas section :) I love my little boy!!! He loves my 2 favorite holidays! (he still asks to watch Wow Wow Ghost so hes still not completely out of the Halloween mode lol)

STRESS

So as I have been bragging to everyone how we have very few people to buy Christmas presents for and that all of them are wrapped (thanks to Chad last night) I forgot that we have sooooo much more to buy before February (baby time).

Here is all we need to buy:

  1. 2 dressers (a new one for Ty and one for Daddy since we are moving upstairs and the one we have won't fit up there)
  2. A twin sized big boy bed/and railings (we already have cute bedding thanks to Maga)
  3. Baby bedding for crib (pink)
  4. Paint for 2 rooms (pink for baby, blue for Ty)
  5. Decorations for baby room (ballerina theme)
  6. Flat screen tv, for our new bedroom upstairs (I am trying to save enough money to get this for "Chad" for Christmas)
  7. New baby monitors (preferably the video screen kind since we will be upstairs now and our babies will be downstairs)
  8. Curtains for baby room, and I also would like to get some for Tyler's as well
So there you have it, right when I thought I had nothing to be stressed about, I realized...um hello! you have bigger things to buy than Christmas presents!!!! UGH!!!!

Not only ALL that, but I have a 2nd birthday party to plan! (At least we have all his presents for that!)

Last night I was in major depression mode because I want to be back to my regular body size and not be pregnant anymore, but now I am thinking Dang! I don't have that much time left to get everything in order!!!! I all the sudden feel so stressed that I  a drink would be nice, or I need to go running, or something and I can't do either of those right now!!! AHHHH!

If ANYONE knows a good place to get a bed or dressers for cheap! but good quality please let me know!!!! AND if anyone needs there hair done please get a hold of me before thanksgiving!!! I want to go the the TV on black friday!!!!! Ok I am done stressing on the blog, time to search the web for beds and dressers!!!!

Locked Out!!!!!

This picture is obviously old but I wanted to find one that he looked super Angelic for this story :)

So, Tyler and I ran to the store for a few groceries tonight and he was such a good boy at the store (if you haven't gone shopping with a toddler then I will tell you this can be rare) , and in such a great mood, (crazy because we got no sleep last night)  So we drove home, and I decided to put him inside before I tried to carry in the bags because it was so cold outside and I didn't want him to stand outside and wait for me. So I took him in, took his coat off, let the dog out of the cage and walked outside to get the bags, I still can see him in the screen door so I figure I was ok, my house is child proofed, I can see him, nothing can go wrong...BUT IT DID...

Tyler locked the screen door, to witch we do not have a key for so I couldn't call the several people who have my house keys for emergencies, so I try to be calm and sit there and try to get Tyler to unlock it, he tried...several times but he just couldn't get it. It must be easier to lock than unlock...So I started to get frustrated, my friend Andrea was on her way over to hang out for a little bit, and she was trying to think of what to do, meanwhile i call my mom to let her know whats going on and you know how it is when you talk to your mom...I started bawling. I turned so Ty couldn't see because i did not want him to freak out. My mom called my sister to come over and help, And Andrea called her friend Ryan, (happens to be Chad's cousin) and they all showed up at the same time, my brother in law first tried with a credit card and that was not working, and Ryan went to grab some tools and got it open right away! He did not even break out lock or door. I was impressed but more happy just to be inside with Ty because at that time he was starting to get scared and cry because he was inside alone and everyone else was out. I was outside for 1 hour. It was the longest/coldest hour ever but I am so glad that I didn't have to call the fire department or police or anything and cause a huge scene in my neighborhood. Ty was happy to have Mommy in with him. I hope that never happens again! At least I have a funny story to tell him when he gets older!
what a little naughty :) you gotta love him tho

Aubrey Lightner!!!!!

There SHE is!!! Aubrey Theresa Lightner!

Ok so 3rd time is finally a CHARM!!! This morning I woke up at 6am so i could get ready for my Ultra Sound. I had a bowel of cereal, a cup of coffee, a glass of orange juice, and 2 glasses of water...YES that is a lot of fluid haha but I wanted to make sure!!! My mom picked me up at 7:30 and we were off! She still had her legs closed and crossed! (little stinker) but the Lady was not giving up! She wanted to get the perfect shot. I had to actually take a break and I did some jumping jacks and toe touches, and what do you know! It pissed her off enough to open up for a few seconds for us to get the MONEY shot!
I don't know if you can really see on this pic, but on the computer it was the perfect shot! YAY!
Ok So I would like to take a minute to tell everyone about where I had this ultra sound at. It was at a place called Mom 2 Be Sonography. http://www.mom2besonography.com/index.html It is an elective ultra sound place, not medical at all. I had two choices, go there, or wait until I was 30 weeks. (another 5 weeks feels like forever) and go back to the Dr, for a 3D ultra-sound. I chose to go now because I just could not wait, and I am SOOOOO glad I chose this place. Not only was the lady sweet as pie, but she was not giving up until we knew an answer!!! AND if we couldn't find out we could go back again for free! It was such a great experience, so different from the DR office, at the Dr I felt rushed and like they just were trying to get me in and out as fast as possible but at this place she took her time with me and pointed out parts of my baby (I never could really tell from the pics). I was laying on a twin bed that was propped up, so I was very comfortable, the room was warm and she had soothing baby music going in the background. With the package I got, we got a DVD of the whole thing with the music on it, it is so cute! I also got all the pictures on a DVD and she also snuck a couple sneak peaks of the 3D look :) soooo cute!
If you are thinking about getting a 3D/4D ultra sound I highly recommend going here, The package is 160 dollars and you can have up to 10 people come with you and see! Plus like I said she takes her time with you and does not rush! The same thing at the Dr office is 180 and its super quick! (I got one with Tyler)  The gender package that I got, is 95 dollars and you can go as early as 14 weeks! That is so crazy to me! So on that happy note, my mother and I went shopping for PINK directly after the appointment.  We had a fun morning and I was happy that she could experience that with me (and Aubrey) :)

bye bye Buddy!

Hello all! Time for my weekly update! :) So my birthday was FANTASTIC! I woke up to a bagel from Panera (my favorite) and a pumpkin latte from Starbucks (my other favorite) Chad is a keeper what can I say. Then I got to open my presents from my two favorite boys, a video camera! Now I can actually video Ty on an awesome camera other than my phone's jankey one! So exciting. We took Ty to the zoo and brought it to test out and already have some cute home videos of my amazing little boy! If you are a parent, a video camera is a MUST! It does make me wonder if I should video tape the birth of baby # 2, I'm not to thrilled about a camera being all in my business down there, BUT if you think about it...it MIGHT be cool to go back in a couple years and watch. This is my last baby so its something to think about...

Speaking of baby #2, we had ANOTHER ultra sound on Monday, and guess who had their legs crossed, YEP my stubborn little baby! The first ultra sound she said she would go ahead and start buying pink, but this time she could not see ANYTHING! So of course I am a little disappointed because I really want to start getting the rooms ready and I want to paint and buy bedding! But bedding is expensive and I don't want to buy and paint pink and then on delivery day hear "its a boy!" then I would be screwed! So I am going to an alternate ultra sound place this weekend for the gender package, if they can't tell the 1st time, then I can go back again for free :) Please cross your fingers and wish me luck that the baby will uncross the legs and give a good shot of the "goods"

This week we took Tyler's passy away, also known as his "Buddy." I always thought him calling it that was so cute! So far we are on day 4 and he is doing good! I thought bed time was going to be a night mare but he goes down just fine! He did go 2 days without naps but today he went down great! I'm super happy about this because my goal was to have it gone by age 2, and he will be 2 in December so I am ahead of schedule! YAY! I do miss that dang buddy tho, he looked so cute with it in his little face, more baby like shall I say, but I can't keep him a baby his whole life so buddy take-a-way is step 1 to big boy! Next we are going to convert him into a big boy bed...(I think I'm going to wait another week) and then potty training time!!! It would be nice for him to be trained by the time baby #2 comes but realistically that won't happen, i'm not going to force it and get let down, but I am going to try!

There are only 8 weeks until Christmas everyone! I know a lot of people don't start shopping until after Thanksgiving, but let me tell you, I have already put a huge dent in our shopping list! My goal is to have everyone DONE by Thanksgiving (other than Chad's present witch my pregnant fat butt may go fight the crowd Thanksgiving night to buy) I only have 4 more people to buy for! I am patting myself on the back right now hahaha! Happy shopping everyone!!!

Well I will stop rambling on now, but everyone HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY HALLOWEEEEN this weekend!!!! :) :) :)

26

Halloween last year, I look a little different this year!!!

So it is my favorite time of the year, my birthday, and Halloween!!! While I still love Halloween oh so much, (even tho I don't get to get all cute this year because of my big belly) my birthday is becoming a different story...26. Yes to some would think that 26 is young, but this year I am having a little bit a difficulty turning 26. I am now closer to 30 than 20, I have officially been driving for 10 years :( I feel like I just graduated  high school, but I realized that this summer I will have been out for 8 years! AHHHHHHHH!!! Why is it so scary to get older??? I do realize that there is one good thing about getting older, I get to watch Tyler get older, it has been so much fun watching him for the past (almost) 2 years. All the milestones and new things he does everyday has brought me so much joy and if it means I gotta get old, then bring it on! (I guess) So thank you Momma for giving birth to me 26 years ago!!!

Now on to the Halloween subject, now that I am getting older, I feel like I am limited years of wearing skanky outfits,(and yes, I like to do the skank thing once a year on Halloween, so bite me)  so next year I decided already that I am going to wear my dream costume, sexy Snow white...So Chad I hate to say it, but you better get your tights ready because you are prince charming :) :) :) I'm sure he is gonna love that! but for this year, I am just going to be a preggo! :) I am excited to take Tyler trick or treating this year, he is going to be Frankenstein, he looks sooo cute in it too! We have been practicing for weeks how to say "Trick or Treat" and I think he almost has it :)

Last but not least for belly news, I am getting huge! I have popped out even more than my last blog with the picture, I can't believe what a difference one week has made! I think my belly button will pop sometime in the near future, it did with Tyler at 7 months so we will see.  I will soon post another picture in a couple weeks. We go on Monday to another ultra-sound so everyone wish me luck that the baby is not crossing legs this time...I hope they were right about the girl part because I have her name picked out. If at our ultra-sound on Monday they confirm the sex, then I will reveal the name :) I'm not very good at secrets!

Bye for now, and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
