Life with Aubrey update!

Aubrey will already be 2 weeks tomorrow! I can't believe it!  She still pretty much sleeps all day long, and sometimes likes to keep Mommy up all night long!  I actually don't mind getting up with her because I feel so close to her at nights when it is just us. A great time to bond without any interruptions, all though a couple nights here and there would be nice of some good solid sleep, but my time will come, and it is so worth it.

So Aubrey's first week was a little bit hard, she had Jaundice so we had to rent what is called a Wallaby Photo-therapy system, in other words a light that she had to be on at all times except feedings.  This was super hard for me because of coarse with a new baby all I wanted to do was to hold her and snuggle her and love her, but she was trapped in her crib under a light, I did end up putting my rocker next to the crib and just holding her with the light still on because I missed her so much, but it was still a pain, but I kept telling myself that it could have been worse, she could have been stuck in the hospital so I really am thanking the Lord that we had it the way we did, but anyways she was on it until last Thursday (her week old birthday) and after that I felt like I finally gave birth and had my baby girl! I never wanted to put her down! I still don't :) but I still have to tend to my little man! :)
this was the light, it wrapped around her body and we had to keep her in nothing but a diaper.  there was a big long cord you can see it going off to the right that hooked up to this huge machine that was set up by the crib...I am so GLAD she is off of it! Now she is in perfect condition and we go see the Dr again tomorrow for her 2 week check up.  I can't wait to see how big my peanut is! :)

So since we have been home it has been a little hard on my health as well...my blood pressure has been high since I gave birth and since I had preclamsia with Tyler they really wanted to keep an eye on me.  I had a visiting nurse come twice and I have already been back to the Doctor for a blood pressure check up.  I feel like I live in Dr offices!  My last pressure check was 144 over 90...normal is 120 over 80 so I am still high but they think it will go down on its own they say just to rest (better said than done with a newborn) and drink lots of water, they also prescribed me some more pain medicine because the blood pressure being high has caused a head ache that has not gone away for a couple weeks and no other pain medicines help it. I also had a few other problems when I got home as well, one of them was my swelling...I was never even that swollen when I was pregnant but after, I was so swollen it scared me that I called the Dr about that too! I keep telling myself that at least it is the last time going through this process lol Now my swelling has gone down, and my head ache is getting better so I think in just another week I will feel good as new! Here is a picture of my disgusting feet.
My Dad said I look like Princess Fiona, LOL if only I was green. That doesn't even look like my legs! I am glad they went down and now I have ankles again!  I have already lost 25 lbs, but I do still have a bit to lose.  I started Weight Watchers on Monday. I have been successful with this diet in the past, so hopefully now with this new points system it will be easier, I love the fact that all fruits are 0 pts! If I am ever hungry I will just eat an apple because they always fill me up, and I can't wait until I can start exercising again! I have a few work our Dvds that I will do until Aubrey is older and then I am thinking I will want to join a gym with a daycare, but we will see about that.

Anyways, enough about me, Chad is still off work and Tyler is really getting used to him being home and able to play with him all day long, I am a little worried about when Chad goes back how it is going to affect him, but we will get through it.  He really is a good little boy.  He loves Aubrey so much, and really loves helping.  He helps me pat her back when we are burping her, he grabs things for me if I ask him to when I am feeding her and he gives her lots of hugs an kisses...for the most part it has been going great. There have been a couple days where he didn't take a nap and is a little crabby at night and when there are two crying/whining babies it can be a bit stressful but nothing I can't handle. I defiantly love my two babies so much I can't even describe it. I was worried when I was pregnant that I was going to favor one or the other, but it is defiantly not like that at all. My little man still has my whole heart, he now just has to share it with a little girl, (good thing he is such a good share-er lol).  Well that is it for now! Until next time! <3
